Why do we give green pieces of paper value? Why do we draw indivisible lines and call it ‘borders?’ Why did ancient Egyptians depict their pharaoh’s at a higher level on their reliefs to signify power and importance? Why do we perceive an object as important when they’re placed atop a pedestal? What happens if we take away the pedestal? Make the pedestal fade away? Play around with its height? What if the pedestal is significantly larger than the object itself? This work is a product of inquiries. What is the human construct? What is fiction?
